A trilogy about a birch grove and Contrappunto bestiale alla mente, a piece of music for Shrove Thursday, composed by the monk Adriano Banchieri (1567-1634) and sung by a Berlin amateur choir, will be shown: the owls hoot, the cuckoos call, the cats meow and the dogs bark in KONTRAPUNKT DER TIERE AUS DEM STEGREIF. Literary inspirations are Incidences by Daniil Kharms (1905-1942) for FALA LALA and the novella Die drei gerechten Kammacher (Three decent combmakers) by Gottfried Keller (1819-1890). In the 12-minute documentary film DIE KAMMACHER, an elderly couple from Brackenheim, Mr and Mrs Wagner, both combmakers, show us what this craft once was. This fairy tale is accompanied by the short feature DIE DREI GERECHTEN KAMMACHER. A small birch grove as a motif and music embrace these films. (Karl Heil, Bärbel Freund)
